		THE TRUTH ABOUT LOVE [VINYL] David McCormack and the Polaroids $30.00 AUD Customers outside Australia don't pay GST

David McCormack's latest album, "Truth About Love" is to be released on vinyl by the wonderful and talented Laughing Outlaw records on September 5th, 2005.

Just under a year has passed since its CD release, and this edition of the album contains deluxe art work, a fair amount of olde world crackle/hiss/pop and 4 brand new tracks not previously available. These include the Polaroids blistering cover of Whitetown's "Your Woman" ("at last!" I hear all the fans sigh), a brand new fucked up pop 'n rock number called "You Got It", the live favourite "Stand Here And Wait" and a version of the Brisbane pop-punk classic "You Don't Even Excite Me" by Brisbane legend Dave Brown (aka "The Chief").

Of course, all the massively successful singles from the original edition will be there, "The Truth About Love", "I'm Going To Execute Your Ex-Boyfriend" and "Who Can It Be" snuggled right along side in the 180 gram vinyl heaven with these new babies. The album was specially re-mastered for vinyl by Don Bartley at Studio 301. Audiophiles everywhere rejoice, our time has come.

Said LP has recently been gathering a fair amount of attention in Europe where it is set for release within the next month. MOJO magazine are featuring the album in their upcoming issue, "Utter, over-the-top possessiveness... the pure Hammond heat of the backdrop takes this into must-hear territory." #4 on MOJO Top Ten Playlist. Other outlets have been glowing in their praise - '....sounds not too unlike Beck at his most conventionally psychedelic' (Torpedo - Sweden). David McCormack and The Polaroids will be heading out on a national tour and encouraging people to dust off their old record players, arc up the fondue and break out the Quaaludes. Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne and of course, Hobart will be able to view the in form Polaroids playing the guts out of this new vinyl and also previewing a handful of new tracks for the next release. As a special feature of this tour only, David McCormack will be previewing each gig with a brief DJ set, comprising of him sitting on the stage with a record player and playing a selection from this album.
