JJJ Feature Album – October 2003 !!!

Starky, from Sydney Australia, are known for their acclaimed live performances, as well as for their flamboyant fashions and lifestyles that have had an all-pervasive influence on the modern world. The band's collective talents are only matched by their sheer sex appeal and enormous wit.
But just who is Starky you ask? Starky formed in 1998 when three boys with the collective dream of changing the face of pop music joined forces with a slightly younger, naïve dreamer. Beau Cassidy sings and plays guitar, Nick Neal plays the Fender bass and sings, David Simons plays a left handed guitar and screams a bit and Brendan Clift belts a drum set.
Starky released their first single entitled "Rock 'n' Roll is the Devils Music" in 1999, a tune that captured the attention of Channel V who heaped praise upon the band, declaring them "Best New Talent" and awarding them a $50,000 video clip. The group has been writing and recording new tunes for a debut long player for the last eighteen months, due for release on laughing Outlaw early in 2003.
Starky's latest single "That's How I'll Know You" is the greatest thing they have ever done and may just be enough to breathe some much needed life into Rock 'n' Roll's blue and bloated corpse. Recorded and mixed by Wayne Connolly (You Am I, Knievel, Youth Group), "That's How I'll Know You" is as catchy as it is volatile, the efforts of a band ready to explode captured the old way on two-inch tape in a single live take.
Ask the locals at the Annandale Hotel or the American audiences the band played to on their recent visit to the States. Ask the Japanese street press or French radio programmers who have already picked up and lauded the group's previous efforts. Ask any punter on the street that knows anything about pop music and, if they don't simply ignore you, they might just say that Starky are the greatest pop group in the world today.
